Overall, I am happy with this bed for the price I have paid. My teenager is happy with it. It looks lovely - it is NOT cream. It is a stone beige colour so make sure you are happy with that colour before buying something that is described as cream. It was easy to put together the main frame and the headboard. The drawers were a nightmare. They use a screw with a plastic plug connector to screw the plug into. The plastic plug has to be in exactly the right spot to connect with the screw. The screws notoriously went crooked and started to crack the wood. We had to redrill the holes through the plastic plugs to straighten everything up. Luckily my Dad was able to help with all of that, as he is handy and had all the power tools. Without that assistance, the drawers would have needed wood glue, as there was no way they could be assembled by a screwdriver without ruining the wood. I would say the wood (ply) is strong enough, but is by no means a 'solid' wood bed. We are happy though, but you just need to realise this bed is around $800 and that is what you are getting. Overall a really lovely setup for a teenage girl.
